Department of Soil and Watershed Management is designed to bring together the integrally related areas of earth sciences, soil and water resource management with an applied focus on Wetland Conservation, Land Use Development, Mitigation of Disasters, Planning and Implementation of various approaches for Watershed Management, Climate Change, etc. Graduate students in this field of study may specialize in areas such as: forest hydrology, water quality, soil conservation and watershed management. The major subjects under the department are: Soil Science, Forest Hydrology and Meteorology, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Rangeland Management, Watershed Management, Soil Survey, Mapping and Degraded Land Management.
