Forest with other wooded land occupies a total of 6.61 million ha which is 44.74% of the total area of the country. Growing forest cover requires skilled and competent natural resource managers in the country. In order to meet this growing demand for natural resource managers, the need for exact knowledge about how we can save forests, how we can manage it, and how we can use it as a natural resource has made the study of forestry indispensable. With quality education and reliable research, PUCEF aims to produce natural resource managers for supporting sustainable forest management, strategic planning and policy formulation about natural resource conservation and utilization and addressing the current national and international needs in forestry and allied fields.
