Frequent educational tours and excursions have emphasized the practical way of learning. Forestry is the field that focuses students not only on theoretical but also on practical knowledge. It is a broad area that includes forest management systems, wildlife and protected area management, soil conservation and watershed management, community forestry, agro-forestry, ecotourism, and many more. It encourages students to involve themselves in extracurricular activities through the aid of green organizations of Purbanchal University. The participatory and practical knowledge approach makes the study procedure here even more interesting and creative.

Since my childhood days, I have always been intrigued by the beauty of nature. Whether it be the calm and serene ocean looking like a clear blue sky or the youthful yodeling rivulet passing nearby my home; nature never cease to amaze me. And along with this diversity, nature carries with it, a myriad of creatures with its own unique ability to sustain in the environment, which is quite fascinating to comprehend. That is why I always had sheer interest in this course. Also, recent rapid urbanization and industrialization along with destruction of forests and wildlife leading to some serious global concerns left me with no two minds. It was time for a youth like me to step up and take some action, which wasn’t possible without proper knowledge of course; the awareness of what’s actually going around and how I could intervene from my level. In search of that wisdom, I joined Forestry.
